WELCOME TO CADBORO BAY
Where is Cadboro Bay?
This neighbourhood straddles the border between East Saanichand Oak Bay. It is bordered by Haro Roadto the north, Arbutus Road to the east, the waters of Cadboro Bay itself to the south, and Chelsea Road to the west.
This neighbourhood and village take their names from the schooner Cadboro. Owned by the Hudson’s Bay Company the Cadboro was the first European vessel to enter the bay. Like Ten Mile Point, the dwellings here in the early 1900’s were cottages and by the 1920’s these were giving way to more permanent homes. And somewhere along the way the legendary monster, Cadborosaurus moved in and has co-existed peacefully with the locals ever since.
